Returns
Effective for all purchases on
davidnukri.com and all services at
DavidNukri Studio, however booked

In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (Forbrugeraftaleloven), you have the right to cancel a purchase made in our online store within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.

The 14-day period begins on the day you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), physically receives the product.

To exercise this right, contact us at info@davidnukri.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to return the product. This right applies to online purchases only and is subject to the hygiene conditions below.

sealed and unused

Cosmetic Products Are Sealed Hygiene Goods
All products we sell (shampoos, conditioners, treatments and other hair cosmetics) are personal care and hygiene products and are delivered sealed. For health and safety reasons, a product whose seal has been broken cannot be resold to another customer.
Broken Seal = No Right of Withdrawal
Under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (Forbrugeraftaleloven § 18, stk. 2, nr. 5), the right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons, once the seal has been broken after delivery. If a product has been opened, dispensed or used, even once, the right of withdrawal lapses and no refund will be paid.
Inspection Is Allowed, Use Is Not
You may inspect the product as you would in a physical store: look at the packaging, read the label — without breaking the seal. Opening or testing the product goes beyond inspection.
Value Deduction for Handling & Damage
For products returned with an intact seal but handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them — for example returned broken, damaged or in incomplete packaging — we apply a deduction for diminished value in accordance with Danish and EU consumer law, up to 100% of the price depending on the actual loss of value.

Why

Opened cosmetics cannot be resold for hygiene and safety reasons

Final Sale
The 14-day right of withdrawal applies to distance (online) purchases only. Products purchased in person at the studio are not covered by a right of withdrawal and are considered final sale.
Exchanges
For unopened products purchased in the studio, we may offer an exchange as a courtesy, assessed individually. Products that have been opened or used, even once, are not taken back under any circumstances, for the hygiene reasons described above.
Defects Still Covered
Statutory rights regarding manufacturing defects (see the Defective Products section) apply to all purchases, both online and in the studio.

Services Are Not Refundable
Haircuts, colouring, styling and other salon services are fully performed services and are therefore exempt from the right of withdrawal under EU and Danish law. A completed service cannot be returned or refunded. This applies regardless of how the appointment was booked — through our website, by phone, in person or via a third-party booking platform (e.g. Fresha).
Your Wishes: References & Clear Communication
The final result is a joint effort. Before the service begins, the client is responsible for explaining the desired result as clearly as possible: bring reference photos, describe your expectations, and confirm the plan agreed with the stylist. Please note that reference photos serve as a guide to the desired direction of the work — not as an exact template. The final result always depends on the individual client's hair structure, hair type, volume and condition, and an identical copy of a photograph taken of different hair can never be guaranteed. A result that matches what was agreed before the service is considered correctly performed and is not grounds for a complaint or refund.
Quality Concerns: Free Correction First
If you believe the result does not match what was agreed, please contact us within 3 days of your appointment. The studio will assess the concern and, where a defect in the work is confirmed, offer a free correction (adjustment) as the first remedy, in accordance with Danish law. If a confirmed defect cannot be remedied by a correction, we will offer a proportionate price reduction or refund corresponding to the extent of the defect.
If a Correction Is Declined
The free correction is the studio's right to remedy (afhjælpning) under Danish law. If the client declines an offered correction, the studio is under no obligation to issue a refund or price reduction, to the extent permitted by law. Dissatisfaction with a result that matches the agreed plan, or a change of mind after the service, does not constitute a defect.

Bring References

References show the direction — the final result is always adapted to your hair type, structure and volume

Step 1: Contact Us
Send an email to info@davidnukri.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and state that you wish to return the product.
Step 2: Return the Product
Return the product sealed, unused and in its original condition, no later than 14 days after notifying us, by one of two methods:

In person (free): drop it off at our studio.

By mail: ship the product to our studio address. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend a tracked shipment; the product is your responsibility until it reaches us.
Step 3: Receive Your Refund
Once we receive and inspect the returned product, the refund is issued to your original payment method within 14 days. We may withhold the refund until we have received the product or proof that it has been sent.

Refund Method
Refunds are issued to the same payment method used at checkout (credit card, Apple Pay, etc.).
Processing Time
Refunds are processed within 14 days after we receive the returned product or proof of shipment. Your bank may take additional time to reflect the refund on your statement.
Shipping Costs
If you withdraw from your entire order within the 14-day period, we refund the product price and the standard delivery cost paid at checkout. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, only the cost of standard delivery is refunded. If you return only part of an order, delivery costs are not refunded. Return shipping is always paid by the customer.
Deductions
No refund is paid for products whose seal has been broken (see the Hygiene section). Any value deduction for damaged packaging or handling beyond inspection is subtracted from the refund amount.
24-Month Right of Complaint
Under the Danish Sale of Goods Act (Købeloven), you have a 24-month right of complaint covering manufacturing defects: for example a product that is spoiled in unopened packaging, a faulty container, or an incorrect item delivered.
What Is Not a Defect
The right of complaint does not cover: normal use and consumption of the product, results of incorrect use or storage, dissatisfaction with scent, texture or cosmetic effect, or individual sensitivity when the product has been used as directed. A used-up or partially used product that performed normally is not defective.
How to Complain
Contact us at info@davidnukri.com within a reasonable time after discovering the defect — a complaint made within 2 months of discovery is always considered timely. Include your order number and photos of the product. Where a defect is confirmed, we will first offer a replacement; a refund is issued if a replacement is not possible. Confirmed defect cases include shipping costs at our expense.

Step One: Contact Us Directly
If you are unhappy with a product or a service, please contact us first at info@davidnukri.com — most issues are resolved best and fastest directly. Danish complaint bodies also require that you have attempted to resolve the matter with us before a complaint can be submitted.
Danish Complaint Bodies
If we cannot find a solution together, you may submit a complaint to Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager, Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, via the complaint portal at naevneneshus.dk, provided the statutory conditions (including minimum price thresholds) are met. If mediation does not resolve the matter, the case may be brought before the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet).
Consumers in Other EU Countries
If you live in another EU country, Norway, Iceland or the UK and have purchased from us online, you can contact Forbruger Europa (ECC Denmark) at forbrugereuropa.dk for guidance on cross-border complaints. Forbruger Europa does not handle complaints between Danish consumers and Danish businesses.
